In Bolzano, good morning comes in four flavours.

During your stay at Palais Hörtenberg, every morning you can choose how to start your day: with the Palais Box, delivered right to your room door; with the gourmet experience at Castel Hörtenberg; with the generous breakfast buffet at Stadt Hotel Città; or with a quick and delicious breakfast at Spizzico. Four experiences, four ways to wake up.

Breakfast box: good morning, delivered straight to your door

From 8:00 am, Breakfast Boxes are delivered directly to your apartment door, with a selection of fresh, high-quality products to enjoy at your own pace and in complete privacy.

Continental, traditional, balanced or Italian-style breakfast

You can choose from four options:

  • Continental, a classic balance of sweetness and simplicity;
  • South Tyrol, featuring the authentic flavours of South Tyrol;
  • Vitality, a healthy, balanced and nourishing choice;
  • Light, a sweet breakfast with a distinctly Italian touch.

Each apartment also features an Illy coffee machine with pods, a kettle with tea and herbal infusions, sugar and tableware. The Breakfast Box is available on request from €12, by communicating the number and type of breakfasts required by 7:00 pm on the previous day.

Breakfast at Stadt Hotel Città

In the heart of the city, from the first lights of the day

Just 400 metres from Palais Hörtenberg, breakfast at Stadt Hotel Città takes place in the historic heart of Bolzano, between Piazza Walther and Via Argentieri. For a morning filled with flavour and atmosphere, you can choose the generous continental breakfast buffet, with sweet and savoury selections, available by advance reservation every day from 7:00 am to 10:30 am, at €20 per person. Or enjoy a traditional pastry paired with a drink to savour in the hotel’s historic café, Al Città

The Castle’s morning ritual

At the Castle, the day begins slowly, surrounded by the aroma of freshly baked bread and homemade pastries, accompanied by selected infusions and alpine yoghurt. A breakfast that tells the story of the region through a selection of products chosen from small producers and South Tyrolean artisans, guardians of knowledge and traditions passed down through generations. From mountain apple juice from Renon to preserves from Val Venosta, every sweet and savoury ingredient on the buffet carries the distinctive character of South Tyrol. An experience to enjoy every day from 7:00 am to 10:30 am, following the philosophy of the Castle: a living residence where landscapes, traditions and people become lasting travel memories. Available by advance reservation, at €28 per person.

Simple and quick breakfast

For a simple start to the day, you can choose between two breakfast options at the bar next to Palais Hörtenberg: the sweet Italian breakfast, with coffee, juice and a croissant, or the savoury international breakfast, with a hot drink, juice and toast. Two options designed for a quick and easy start to the day, priced at €9.90 or €11.50 per person, respectively

Brunch

For those who love to linger over the pleasures of the morning, Castel Hörtenberg and Stadt Hotel Città each offer brunch in their own distinctive style: surrounded by the greenery of the centuries-old garden, in a symphony of local flavours at the Castle, the only five-star boutique hotel in the heart of Bolzano; or overlooking Piazza Walther at the historic Al Città café, where wholesome ingredients and an urban-inspired selection invite you to enjoy the weekend in good company.

Among historic interiors and the outdoor tables of Piazza Walther, the café and bistro accompanies every moment of the day, from business lunches to South Tyrolean cuisine, from aperitivo to dinner with pizza and pinsa. A contemporary take on the flavours of the region, served in a relaxed and convivial setting to be enjoyed from lunchtime into the evening.

The culinary philosophy of Castel Hörtenberg finds expression in two complementary experiences. At times, within the ancient cellars, Le Segrete Fine Dining offers contemporary gourmet cuisine, where technique, creativity and the gastronomic heritage of the Alps come together through tasting menus, with or without wine pairings. Overlooking the centuries-old garden and swimming pool, Le Meridiane Light & Wellness rediscovers the pleasure of informal cuisine, thoughtfully crafted down to the finest detail.
